1) Victory Baptist Church, Lakeside, Inc., believes the Bible is God’s Word.
2) Our purpose as a Bible believing church: (Matthew 28: 19, 20)
A. To Present The Gospel
1) We are all sinners. (Romans 3:10)
2) The price for sin is to die and spend eternity in hell. (Romans 6:23)
3) Jesus died to pay for our sin. (Romans 5:8)
4) Anyone who will call on Jesus and trust Him to be saved, will be saved. (Romans 10:13)
B. To Baptize
We give everyone who makes a profession of faith in Christ an opportunity to be baptized as is found in Acts 2:38, 41. The act of baptism does not get the child into heaven. It is simply a testimony that the child has accepted Christ as Savior. Baptism consists of the pastor lowering the child until he is fully submerged in a pool of water, and then immediately raising the child again to the surface. Parents are encouraged to be present at a child’s baptism.
C. To Teach The Bible
After a person trusts Christ and is baptized, we teach him or her how to have God’s blessings on his or her life by obeying and living by the principles in the Bible.
I UNDERSTAND AND HEREBY AGREE TO ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS WHICH MAY BE ENCOUNTERED ON SAID ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING ACTIVITIES PRELIMINARY AND SUBSEQUENT THERETO.
I do hereby agree to hold Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc., and its pastor, officers, agents, employees, bus workers, bus drivers, teachers, and volunteers harmless from any and all liability, actions, causes of actions, claims, expenses, and damages on account of injury to my child or property, even injury resulting in death, which I now have or which may arise in the future, in connection with participation in the described activity or in any other associated activities.
In the event disagreement or conflict arises from any activity connected to this authorization and release, I knowingly and expressly agree to have such conflict resolved in accordance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution procedures developed by Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc., and agree to binding arbitration, expressly waiving any and all rights in law and equity to bringing any civil disagreement before a court of law.
I understand the purpose and beliefs of Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc. I also understand that unless otherwise noted, the child who is listed below will be given an opportunity to follow the Lord in believer’s baptism if and when the child trusts Christ as his or her Savior.
Understanding this, I give my permission for the child listed below to attend church, to be taught the Bible, and to be baptized if he or she accepts Christ as Savior.
